Victorinox introduces Slim, Slim Duo and Secure SSD USB devices

Victorinox has long been a staple name where Swiss Army Knives are concerned, and it is nice to see the company keep up with the times with their latest range of devices for the ever hungry mass market – we’re talking about the Slim, Slim Duo and Secure SSD USB devices. For those of you who managed to attend this year’s CES and made up part of the 140,000 entourage there, you might have chanced upon Victorinox’s booth. Well, good news if you didn’t manage to simply because there wasn’t enough time to cover the showfloor – at least we are able to bring you official word on a trio of new products – the Victorinox Slim, Victorinox Slim Duo and the Victorinox Secure SSD.
The new Slim range will comprise of an advanced USB flash drive that will cater to the more utilitarian man, as well as those who are frequent travelers since flight friendly versions are also available. Just like how you love to be unique yourself, these will come in a range of its very own designs, colors and slim dimensions alongside data storage of up to 128GB. For those who are wondering where can they lay their eyes upon the world’s smallest 256GB SSD (solid state drive), look no further as Victorinox’s Secure SSD (as pictured above) is where the money’s at, delivering three times faster read speed and more than double write speed when compared with standard high speed USB Flash devices.
As for the Victorinox Slim and Victorinox Slim Duo, both of these additions will combine portable data storage in the form of a USB device alongside a standard Victorinox pocket knife that will boast various functions such as blades, nail file and scissors – of course, as mentioned earlier, you can always look for the flight friendly version if you’re part of the globetrotter clique. Both of these puppies are waterproof and shock resistant, so don’t fret whenever you drop it by accident due to your boss walking up on you while you were surfing some NSFW sites. Since life is not in black and white, you can always choose from different colors such as red, blue, orange, pink, green and silver.

Now we're a bit doomed by CES, taking new things for iPhone/iPod/iPad speaker dock system to feed our Apple's money-making devices. And mostly, early adapters are expecting for airplay devices, however, this seemed not to be that easy. Ooh, let's start the iHome's denomination of speaker systems tamed for Apple's iPod/iPhone/iPad that's aimed for CES debut.

iHome got two portable rechargeable Bluetooth speakers, one that looks like a mini-soundbar while the other is a set of speakers mated with speakerphone controls, that's iDM12 and iDM15, respectively. There's also iD9, iD28 and iD85 speaker systems to complete the line-up. In addition, notably there's iDM70 'Sound Sleeve' a protective cover and speaker system in one utilizing rechargeable NXT flat speakers, ooh, that's sweet.

Apple iPhone 4G concept, rumors and speculations

Apple iPhone 4G concept

It’s been less than a year since Apple brought up iPhone 3GS apparently what we are talking now is the iPhone 4G. Most likely the 4G story is taking some space out of the iPad,iTablet, or iSlate that almost stormed the web for a past few months now.

Here are some points of the speculations and rumors over the tech community.
  • Better camera with upgraded 5.0 megapixels
  • LED flash
  • OLED screen
  • Removable battery
  • A different casing
  • Better storage capacity 64GB
  • Apple iPhone 4G could have an early May release rather than the expected June/July debut
Now here is my point, I think Apple would still point a yearly basis of refreshing their products as to what we’ve seen further, so we can expect June/July release. A 5.0 megapixels camera along with LED flash is I think a reality par with Nexus One so most likely the OLED screen to get ahead. A 64GB iPhone is still inline as Toshiba revealed their 64GB embedded NAND flash memory module. Once more, I think a removable battery still a mystery as Apple products even their laptops is still lives non-removable.

In addition, a new casing is really one of my favorite, I think this feature will ultimately distinguish the iPhone 4G out of its predecessor or let us say out of being “iPodish”, I mean the iPod Touch and iPhone is somehow alike in the first look. But I get the Apple idea of bringing iPod and capabilities of a smartphone together, it’s just I think today iPhone has gone a long way now and it should be better to that idea.

That’s fancy sleek looking concept design of rumored iPhone 4G is courtesy of iPhoneRoot.com. Which I think looks like a MacPhone, sounds crazy but the built is inspired by a Macbook.
